Born in London, Louise Vaan has been making cakes from a very early age. Originally a hobby, numerous commissions from friends, friends of friends and friends of friends of friends, eventually persuaded Louise to open her cake skills to the public.

A family connection and new business led Louise with her chef husband, Alastair, to West Wales. Louise co-owns the award winning restaurant Y Mochyn Drwg in Newport, North Pembrokeshire and it is from their professional kitchens that the cakes are produced. The area is reknowned for its artistic community, and the surroundings make for the perfect creative environment for her cake development.
